When corporations back both horses in a race, they always win. But sometimes if you want a job done right, you have to do it yourself. If you’ve ever considered running, or know quality person you’d like to see in office, Michigan People’s Campaign wants to help you prepare.
We’re launching a candidate and campaigner training program in partnership with Sierra Club and People’s Action. The Movement Politics Academy is recruiting and training an army of movement politics leaders that’s more reflective of our society: people of color, women, and working class people. We need YOU!
Start your political career by coming to a deep-dive, fundraising training. We’ll explore:
* campaign fundraising
* compliance
* stump speech writing
* the Movement Politics worldview.
You’ll learn how to raise money and position yourself during the snowy winter months so you can hit the ground running once the 2018 campaign season starts. This training will take place on Friday November 17th from 6-9pm and continue on Saturday, November 18th from 10am-6pm.
