St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America invite you to a candlelight vigil on December 13, 2017.
At 5:15 PM we will gather in the fellowship hall (Martyrs' Hall) at St. Mary's, 700 Poplar Avenue, and we will process across the street to Morris Park. There we will remember, by name, every life lost to gun violence in Memphis this year, as well as the lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School five years ago. Everyone will also have an opportunity to name loved ones lost to gun violence in other times and places. Together we will LIGHT THE NIGHT FOR PEACE!
Following the vigil, we welcome you to a chili supper at St. Mary’s, 700 Poplar Avenue. Nursery care will be provided from 5-7PM for children ages 6 mos. to 5 yrs.
