6:00 am to 7:00 pm

The Texas Legislature is in session now, and we have local elected officials that wish to pass discriminatory bills right here in the state of Texas. On March 13, we are partnering with local Houston organizations to head to Austin to talk to our lawmakers about a variety of issues that impact Houston’s diverse, intersectional community, including immigration, racial justice, economic equity, and LGBTQ Equality.

All you need to bring is yourself! We’ll provide transportation from Houston to Austin and information on all the issues so you’re ready and able to ask your elected leaders about ending discrimination against LGBTQ Texans, rejecting anti-immigrant policies that turn Texans against our neighbors, and asking lawmakers to vote against bills that seek to deny access to women and continue to oppress marginalized communities.

Transportation will leave the Montrose Center at 6am and we will return by 7pm.

Sign up with us by March 1st, 2017.
