Are you an LGBTQ or ally youth who is interested in learning how to organize your community to take action? Are you between the age of 13-18? Do you want to connect with peers from across the state? Join us Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for our HRC Youth Summit. This year’s theme is "Rise. Energize. Ignite."
The summit’s overall goal is to teach community organizing skills to youth from across the state who are middle school and high school students. Workshops will be peer-led and facilitated and space will be provided to plan projects in their schools and communities during the upcoming semester. Students will have access to mentors who will help guide them through the process in the Spring before having the opportunity to showcase their work.
