Immigrants Solidarity March - Buffalo

Massachusetts Avenue Park
Buffalo, NY 14213
United States
May 6, 2017,
1:00 pm to 3:30 pm

The Immigrants March in Buffalo on Saturday, May 6 is taking place in SOLIDARITY with the National Day of Action and march in Washington, D.C. Other marches are also taking place across the country. All supporters are welcome to this nonviolent direct action.

Join us, starting at the Massachusetts Ave Playground (by Winter St) for a rally and walk, with speakers, music (including Ismail & Co), and inspiration! Rally at 1pm, with walk at 1:30 up Lawrence to Hampshire to Grant St - where we'll stop at West Side Bazaar - on to Lafayette (with a brief talk at Lafayette High School), past Colonial Circle's General Bidwell, down Richmond to finish at Pilgrim-St. Luke's UCC, a declared sanctuary church. There'll be a welcome at the church with tabling, etc., as well. The#Buffalo25 will be representing. Bienvenidos/Karibu/Bienvenu!

This is yet another chance to STAND UP FOR COMPASSION AND LOVE and against fear and hatred. There will be speakers, music and, of course, the solidarity march. We will be demonstrating to denounce the building of walls that divide us as well as the twisted thinking promoted by #45 that is ruining our nation.

Everyone is encouraged to bring signs, banners, and/or displays that focus on welcoming, humanitarian messages. Let your voices be heard loud and strong, too, as we reinforce the message that BUFFALO IS A CITY OF GOOD NEIGHBORS!
