Join People's Power Assembly NYC as we honor the dignity of people with disabilities. We demand accessible transportation for all New York City MTA stations, and real affordable housing and health care. We fight against: the murder, mass incarceration and warehousing of people with disabilities, especially Black and Brown folks. We want to be recognized as full human beings- across the cis, lgbtqia, gender non-conforming, non binary spectrum with each to their ability. PPA recognizes that the International Day of People with Disabilities, "(DRPI) celebrates the human rights principles and echoes the countless voices of people with disabilities around the world in calling for dignity, autonomy, non-discrimination, inclusion, and respect for difference."
