‘Stop Denying the Earth is Dying’ ‘Lies End Lives’ ‘Science is Defiance’
Join us on Saturday, April 22 (Earth Day) to show your support for science, education, and evidence-based policy in government.
Science is under attack, and the future of our environment, health care, and education is at stake. We must take a stand against scientific suppression and partisan political influence in research and education. Raise your voice with us and advocate for funding, research, and science communication free from censorship. In solidarity with Science Day marches, and events taking place across the world, we will walk from Monterey City Hall to the Marine Sanctuary at Del Monte Beach.

Schedule:
1:00pm - Meet at Colton Hall in Downtown Monterey
1:30pm - Begin Marching to Window on the Bay (Monterey Beach)
2:00pm - Begin Speeches from Keynote Speakers
3:00pm - Begin Beach Cleanup Activities at Del Monte Beach
4:00pm - End of Event

There is additional public parking near Monterey Bay Park at -

The Calle Principal Parking Garage (approximately 440 Calle Principal, Monterey, CA 93940) accessible from both Calle Principal and Pacific St.

Our goal is to advocate, as a diverse nonpartisan group, for government funded science programs in fear of losing their funding and for our politicians and policy makers to enact evidence based policies.
------------------
Nuestro objetivo es abogar, como un grupo no partidista diverso, por los programas científicos financiados por el gobierno, con el temor de perder su financiamiento y para que nuestros políticos y legisladores promulguen políticas basadas en la evidencia.

We will be marching from Colton Hall to the Window on the Bay. After our speakers finish we will host a beach cleanup at Del Monte Beach in honor of Earth Day.

Everyone has an interest in the continuation of scientific discovery and application. We must come together, scientists and non-scientists alike, to demonstrate that we will not let Science and Truth be silenced.
