12:00 pm to 5:00 pm

This March is a celebration of Science and Earth Day.
It will start at Loop Field next to Evergreen School at Noon and we will walk and talk around downtown Shelton and arrive at the Transit Community Center for a presentation at 2PM. There will be video programs by Dr. Gushee on Antarctica and Andy Farrington on Wing Suit Flying and information tables. Group discussions will follow. We are also planning to have science based movies on Sunday morning. Shelton Cinemas will host free movies showing Hidden Figures and Lorax.
Our main focus, of this non-political event, is to inspire youth to dream big and take the challenge to learn and to use science to guide choices in their lives. This is all part of a national campaign. Volunteer scientists wearing green wristbands will talk about their experiences in school and the workforce. Everyone who lives in a human body is doing a daily science experiment. We hope to share information and guidance that prevents stupid experiments.
