Yes, they really did vote to have hidden loaded weapons in K-12 schools, college and university buildings, childcare centers, sports arenas, bars, churches and more. We are fighting back and we need you to forward our message to ALL your members. Together we represent more than 200,000 people in our state and we need ALL of them to let the members of the House of Representatives know that Michiganders do NOT want guns in schools and other currently gun free zones. House Representatives are in district until after Thanksgiving and your members can visit Representative coffees as well as email and call their offices. We must be loud and active to protect our kids and communities.
The General Membership meeting of MCPGV will be held on Tuesday evening, November 21 at UUCGL, 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Our guest will be Dr. April Ziole , gun violence prevention researcher from MSU and we will also have an elected official. We will present updates on legislation that we support and legislation we oppose. We will share the dates and times of Vigils for the victims of gun violence as we remember the 5th Anniversary of Sandy Hook and all victims of gun violence. We will share actions that you can take to support gun violence prevention.
