Leading up to the highly anticipated MWM “20” Reunion that will reconnect, recommit, and inspire millions, nationwide, several national and international solution oriented programs and special projects have been formulated that will be implemented from now through 2017. While MWM, of course, places a major focus on the upliftment and empowerment of Africana females , many of the issues and concerns affecting the lives of our families and communities, daily, of great concern and is without a doubt, a priority.

One such concern is the issue of “Gentrification “and many of its obvious problems. As this a, nationwide, process of sophisticated displacement and social engineering in running rampant in Black/African American communities, throughout the US, with little substantially said and even less done. During the past five years, MWM has looked closely at the many tentacles and illusions of urban renewal, community development, and the likes. To educate, connect the national Black dots, properly agitate, and bring about a more serious effort to lessen the short and long term damaging effects and overall elimination of the ethnic cleansing (culture and historical nuances and realities) by way of 21st century Genocide/“Gentrification”.

The MWM first National Black Anti-Gentrification Conference is slated to take place From June 30, -July 2, 2017. At this time, the City of Detroit has been selected to host this very important and powerful first step in enabling a United Black (Human Rights) Front that will work collectively to developed a strategic “Direct Action” Plan that will help rebuild our neighborhoods and communities, take back and a stake in the land, and in that secure and sustain a better future for generations to come.
