We are dangerously close to the end of the internet as we know it. On December 14th the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) will meet to decide whether or not to end the popular Obama era protections known as Net Neutrality.

Eliminating net neutrality will allow internet service providers to force companies and consumers to pay more for speed, shape internet access, and block websites as they see fit. The FCC’s move would also take away a slew of consumer protections that let us dispute unfair prices and maintain privacy.

As one of the four largest internet service providers in the nation Verizonhas been lobbying hard to eliminate net neutrality. They seek to further line their already fat pockets by shafting consumers. Even worse, Ajit Pai, the current FCC chairman use to work on Verizon's legal team.

Folks will be demonstrating outside of Verizon stores across the nation sending them a message, that if we loose net neutrality, Verizon will loose customers.

Join us on Saturday the 9th AT 11AM in Cedar Falls and be a part of a national effort to send Verizon and the FCC a message.

In the meantime please email all FCC commissioners and tell them to save net neutrality.
