With his first string of executive orders, Trump is leading an assault on all of us, on all fronts at once. He’s gambling that he can break our spirit and set a precedent for obedience. In courageously filling the streets, blockading airports, and interrupting business as usual, we too are setting a precedent for resistance that will determine the character of how we fight back in the years to come.
Trump’s victory has emboldened white supremacist and neo-nazi groups all over the world, and we continue to see a rise in attacks against marginalized communities. In this meeting, we’ll discuss tactics related to all of the above—how to build and sustain effective movements that apply many forms of resistance, how to defend ourselves and our loved ones from those who wish to do us harm, how to build new bottom-up structures in our communities that meet the needs of everyone…how to change everything.
This discussion will be facilitated to maximize the impact of each persons input and to keep the conversation on track. Come with an open mind to discuss ways we can build together and get out of this mess!
