Congressman Frelinghuysen won’t hold a town meeting so we will. On December 5th, we’re hosting a forum to discuss his terrible environmental record. This includes budget cuts to agencies such as the EPA, DOI, and NOAA. We need you to come out to learn Congressman Frelinghuysen is playing a role in threatening our environment. As the House Appropriations Chair, Frelinghuysen had the power to block cutbacks to the EPA and other important environmental programs. Instead of working for his constituents, he has sided with corporate polluters over our public health and safety and moved forward with his anti-environmental budget.

Congressman Frelinghuysen helped pass through his budget in the House with a devastating 10% cut to the EPA. These cuts are just the beginning, however; because the Senate can add more from President Trump’s budget, which includes EPA cuts of 31%. It also cut back funding from the Department of Interior that helps protect our public lands and national parks as well as funding for clean water, climate change and clean energy programs. This would have catastrophic impacts to New Jersey because it will target our air and water with more pollution. We must educate ourselves on these budget cuts and work together to protect the EPA from the Trump Administration.
