Southwest Florida March for Science

Downtown Centennial Park
2000 W First St
Fort Myers, FL 33901
United States
April 22, 2017,
1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Join the march to raise awareness for and celebrate science and scientific integrity. Our advocacy will strengthen the global voice, and that of the Southwest Florida community, of scientists and science enthusiasts.

Our peaceful march and rally will start at 1:00pm in Centennial Park, downtown Fort Myers, and go to the nearby court house via Monroe Street. Materials will also be available for marchers who wish to participate in a return walk clean-up.
As we make our way back to Centennial from the court house, help to keep our area litter-free. Bags and gloves will be provided.

Signs and banners are encouraged. However, we ask that they focus on the March for Science, Earth Day, and evidence-based causes that need more awareness. Note that the march is a nonpartisan event and should be open to all.
Examples: Conservation, Go Solar, No Fracking, No Sabal Trail, Water is Life, Global Climate Change, Banning Plastic Bags and Straws, Save the Wetlands, No Phosphate Mining, Science Serves. If you have any questions regarding signage, email or message us!
