Take Action Tuesday: Tell Baker to Support a Sanctuary State!

11:00 am to 12:00 pm

Massachusetts legislators have come out in support of the Safe Communities Act, which would make us a "Sanctuary State," protecting our state residents from religious registries and immigration raids on law-abiding families. But Governor Baker has come out against the Act.

We will visit Gov. Baker's office to express our united support for the proposed law. We'll encourage him to sign the law, tell our own stories of why its protections are important to us, and remind his staff that this issue has broad public support in Massachusetts.

And...we will sing! We've re-written Carly Rae Jepsen's song "Call Me Maybe" with lyrics that encourage the Governor to support this bill. Check out the re-funked, all pop, superstar lyrics here: http://bit.ly/2lIH5JJ

We'll meet in front of the State House outside the General Hooker Entrance (to the right of the main steps) at11am. Hope to see you there!
