April 24, 2017,
6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Join our panel Dina Refkin from the University at Albany Center for Women in Government and Civil Society, The Honorable Dorcey Applyrs, Common Councilwomen and the Honorable Lynne Lekakis, Albany County Legislature to discuss how and why more women should run for local office. We will encourage women to run for public office by demystifying the experience and empowering you to unleash your leadership potential. We will help, ask, encourage, and connect women as we move toward the next election season.

There is uncertainty ahead and Planned Parenthood is facing renewed attacks. But, one thing is for sure — we will never back down, and we will never stop fighting to make sure that our patients are able to access the care they need. The days ahead will not be easy, but we will all work together to ensure that Planned Parenthood is here, caring for patients, for the next 100 years.

Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood is launching a monthly series of “Teach-in” events to equip our supporters on various topics facing Planned Parenthood and reproductive rights in the months and years ahead.
