Come participate in your local refugee community and aid displaced persons seeking refuge in the Middle East! This community and family-friendly event will include a 1K and 5K fun run outside and then indoors will include local refugee food and market vendors, an information fair featuring local and global refugee organizations, an area especially for kids including face painting and interactive activities, a silent auction with local artisan and business products and services, and a donation drive for items to benefit local refugees.
The goal of this event is to raise awareness of the refugee crisis both locally and globally, to close the distance between refugees and other community members, and to have fun while aiding those who stand in great need. The funds raised from this event will benefit AMAR U.S.’ (EIN: 27-1871182) work helping to rebuild the lives of displaced people in the Middle East and the items collected at the events will be donated to local refugees. The synergy and bridges built will be incalculable.
