AF3IRM Centershift Conference II: Roots & Routes

Centre for Social Innovation
601 West 26th Street #325
New York, NY 10001
United States
October 21, 2017,
9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Because the present is in the past and the future is in the present, and because, as it is said, it is the mothers, not the warriors, who create a people and guide their destiny, AF3IRM seeks a return to the foundational ideas of American feminism --those concepts and wisdom drawn from the tribal societies of this continent, particularly the Iroquois with whom the pioneers of the American women's movement -- Stanton, Gage and Mott -- were in touch.

And having rooted ourselves once again in those concepts and wisdom, AF3IRM seeks to route such wisdom to a) our current predicament over the rise of neo-fascism and war; and b) our current state of being transnational and multi-ethnic. Out of this mingling of wisdoms and understanding, AF3IRM hopes to develop a path of struggle to a future of survival and prevailing for women. And ultimately, for humanity.

Please join AF3IRM on Saturday, October 21, 2017 for Roots and Routes as AF3IRM continues its rich 28 year history of theory building, agitating, mobilizing, and organizing to gain genuine freedom for womankind. Registration includes electronic versions of the presentations, childcare, lunch and refreshments.
