BYP 100 Detroit's #SayHerName is a series of events throughout the city that shows support for Black women and Femmes. On October 7th a vigil will be held for women and femmes that have lost their lives to domestic violence and queerphobia within the Black community.
This event will be for Black folks only, to uplift the stories of those who have been victimized or harmed by toxic masculinity in the Black community. Please join us in this peaceful vigil and feel free to bring pictures of loved ones as well.
---
This is a SAFE, BLACK space. White & non-Black allies are encouraged to support this space by lifting these conversations up in their families and personal relationships. Please respect this as a Black-only space.
There will be no tolerance for homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, fatphobia, anti-blackness, nor ableism.
