Are you looking to make an impact on a local level? Are you not sure where to donate your time and talents? Are you new to community engagement and activism?
I know many of us started our journey with the Presidential election or attending one of the women's marches and now we are looking to contribute and make a difference in our local communities. We are passionate and enthusiastic individuals with great ideas, but we're not sure where to direct our time and talents. There are many wonderful organizations that can provide us with an opportunity to engage at a local level and share with us the knowledge and experience we are seeking. Why reinvent the wheel, when we can strengthen the ones that already exist!
On April 4th from 5-9p.m. 20+ community and social justice organizations will be tabling at Proctors GE Theater. Members from a variety of organizations will be on hand to tell you about the work they do, services they provide, and how you can contribute your time, talents and resources within their organization.
