Want to learn about winning campaigns across the world that sound a lot like our own, happening right now in the age of Trump and the billionaires?
*Housing activists in Barcelona forming a radical political party to take over the mayor’s office;
*Kenyans building a union that grew from 300 to 50,000 in four years!
Amanda Tattersall, Australian organizer and writer, will host the Chicago launch of her new podcast, called ChangeMakers, which highlights organizing stories across the world: one week you are in Moscow hearing about anti-Putin activists, then you jump to Standing Rock. The next week you are in South Africa learning about its student movement, then in Australia with the refugee movement.
Amanda will share some of these stories, and lead a discussion on how we can best learn from and join with similar struggles around the world.
At a desperate time for many movements, Amanda aims to show that change is possible by drawing out the lessons from the stories she tells, so we all learn even more about how it is done.
