If you've ever wanted to organize a visit with a group of friends or community members, but weren't sure how to do so effectively, this training is for you!
This class is targeted for beginners, and should be a comfortable introduction to lobbying, even if you have no previous experience. We will walk through the experience of planning, scheduling, preparing for, and attending a meeting with a congressional office.
This small group training will be delivered in TWO MONDAY SESSIONS. This will simulate the steps you take to plan a real meeting.
In the first session (3/27), we'll discuss the formation of a group, the selection of issues, the development of an ask, and how to get a meeting scheduled.
In the SECOND SESSION (4/10), we'll discuss and practice the experience of the meeting itself, while giving attendees the opportunity to experience a few different roles.
Attendance is limited to 12 to keep the training personal and interactive. Please register only if you can commit to attending both sessions. This ticket registers you for both days.
I plan to offer more of these in the future, on different days and times, to allow people with different availability to attend.
