A critical part of any member of Congress’ job is to hear from the constituents he/she represents face-to-face.
Since January, Dan Sullivan has received hundreds of calls, letters, and emails requesting a public forum for constituents to ask questions and voice their concerns to no avail. So on wednesday night we will meet for a townhall with...or without Dan Sullivan. If he chooses to join us we will have a great opportunity for conversation between Dan Sullivan and his Constituents. A chance for us to ask him questions and for him to ask his Fairbanks constituents where they stand on the important issues before he heads back to session. If Dan Sullivan chooses to not attend then our meeting will highlight to the public and the media that he has refused to meet publicly with his Fairbanks constituents. The only local event he has chosen to participate in is a private Republican Women's dinner on Presidents Day. This choice to only make contact with a small defined group of Fairbanks, rather than a public town hall for all his constituents, is just building a divide and strengthening the resistance.
