In this time of fear, anxiety, and uncertainty about our most basic civil rights, we must continue to ensure that transgender, gender non-conforming, and queer youth are affirmed, respected, and loved regardless of their gender identity or expression.
In response to the U.S. Department of Education's and U.S. Department of Justice's withdrawal of the previous administration's trans guidance and the Supreme Court's refusal to hear Gavin Grimm's landmark anti-discrimination case, Connecticut is committed to making sure that all trans, gender non-conforming, and queer students feel safe in schools and public spaces.
