Join us on March 8 "Day Without A Women" strike!
The intention is to see how a day without women working, spending money, or doing what they typically do, would effect the world. Women are 51% of the US population. They buy most household objects, clothes, food, and many maintain the family home, along with holding positions as teachers, doctors, lawyers, bus drivers, chefs, wait staff, administraion, gov't employees, etc. What would happen, if one day all women stopped participating and went on strike? The country would have to take notice, and recognize that when women speak or ask for something from their representatives, that their voices hold power. So instead of working this day, perhaps women could spend the day supporting community efforts by volunteering somewhere or participating in a drive or calling their representatives... At this event you can do many of those things in solidarity with others and get a little pampering for yourself to boot!
Please note: If you will lose your job, we do not encourage you to refrain from working on March 8.
