Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner's town hall in Hartland will be his first public appearance since the health care vote, and we need to hold him accountable — and send a strong message to our representatives in the Senate.
The House's version of Trumpcare is a parade of horrors. It harms the poor, children, women and families, persons with disabilities, and even people with employer-provided coverage. The only folks who benefit are the wealthy and corporations. Simply put, Sensenbrenner, Paul Ryan and other Republicans voted to give Donald Trump a few political points, at the expense of their own constituents. In Sensenbrenner's district alone, 42,300 constituents will lose health care under this plan.
A die-in is a form of nonviolent protest where participants publicly pretend to die to highlight a deadly problem. Join us at the Hartland Village Hall at 6:15 p.m. Bring your own tombstone or use one of ours, and consider sharing a story about how losing the Affordable Care Act could affect you or your loved ones. After the die-in, feel free to stay for Sensenbrenner's meeting at 7 p.m. so we can tell him "Shame on you." The fight's not over yet!
