Republicans finally managed to pass an Affordable Care Act (ACA) repeal bill in the House. It's a parade of horrors. For many people - the poor, children, women, people aged 55-65, people with disabilities, even people with employer provided coverage - this is a matter of life and death!
The Die-In is a form of nonviolent direct action protest to highlight the deadly problems this legislation creates. People who die will carry their own cardboard tombstones to identify the cause of death.
If you want to "die" with us, come to the Capitol before 11am on Saturday, May 6th. We are meeting at Carroll and Washington (Washington St entrance). Consider sharing a story about how losing the ACA could affect you, loved ones or neighbors. Feel free to bring a tombstone or use one of ours. Join us to fight for the healthcare of the people across our nation!
