Please join us in solidarity supporting dignity and respect for all in the City of Schenectady!
We will gather at 6pm on Monday April 10th at City Hall (before the City Council meeting at 7pm) to share personal stories and statements of strength and diversity. We will uplift the voices often left unheard. We will celebrate with music, song, and dance. We will demand that our representatives stand up against bigotry and hate and stand for justice and equality for all in Schenectady. The City of Schenectady must ensure protection and support for everyone regardless of their zip code, race, religion or immigration status.
We encourage Schenectady residents, business owners, clergy, and faith communities to attend the community gathering at 6pm and sign up before 7pm to publicly state your support for Schenectady to be a Sanctuary at the city council meeting, asking the Mayor and City Council to create policy or legislation that publicly states its position on equality and justice for all.
