Martin Luther King, Jr. tried to teach us that a racist war "there" (e.g. Viet Nam) is directly linked to the war against people of color here. System-wide violence in US communities is the twin of US aggressive wars abroad. MLK taught that the antiracist and the antiwar movements must go arm in arm. Three eloquent speakers—each on the frontlines of local movements for racial, immigrant and worker justice—will share their perspectives and reveal the relevance of MLK’s insight today.
