On SEPTEMBER 13, 2017, UCB will argue to the 9th Circuit that they have no responsibility for the bloody events of Novmber 9, 2011:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToRh-RtmDWY WE MUST FILL THE COURTROOM to impress upon the judges that ACTUAL democracy and ACTUAL freedom of speech must be preserved in the face of police tyranny covered-up by the university's abstractions and evasions.

On November 9, 2011, then-UC Berkeley Chancellor Robert Birgeneau sent in phalanxes of police to beat students seeking peacefully to set up tents to express support for the burgeoning Occupy movement and fight for public education. In response, thousands of students organized, voted on demands, and mobilized, advancing the movement and successfully ousting Birgeneau.

Twenty-two people represented by BAMN sued UC-Berkeley administrators and police, and in January 2016 at the District Court we won the right to put them on trial. UC-Berkeley administrators have appealed to the Ninth Circuit.

The Alameda County Sheriffs who committed much of the violence on Nov. 9, 2011 are not appealing. But *UC-Berkeley administrators* want out. THIS LAWSUIT BROUGHT IS UNIQUE in that it places the UNIVERSITY OFFICIALS who made the political decision to send armed thugs into a peaceful student protest ON TRIAL. It is our chance to put them on the witness stand and make them answer for their crimes. It is our chance to get accountability andto strengthen the ability of the student movement on college and university campuses everywhere to fight for and win democracy and equality. This is more important than ever under President Trump.

PLAN NOW TO FILL THE COURTROOM IN SAN FRANCISCO SEPTEMBER 13, 2017 AND SHARE THIS WITH FRIENDS!!
