The time is ticking and we are running out of time! Each day, 122 individuals lose their DACA work permits and protections from deportation; by March 6, 2018 it will be over 20,000. All the while, politicians like Will Hurd show no interest in supporting a clean DREAM Act that grants relive to immigrant youth, and are not hesitant to support a spending bill that undermines our democracy and hurts the most vulnerable in our communities.
On December 8, 2017, Congress will vote on the ominous spending bill and we need to demand for the clean DREAM Act to be attached to it. Folks are now at risk and we can no longer wait.
Join us, Education Not Deportation, NM Dream Team, United We Dream, and community members at our Posada-themed action on Thursday, December 7, at 6 P.M. outside of Will Hurd's Socorro District Office to demand for him to co-sponsor the clean DREAM Act and not vote for the spending bill unless it is included.
