The immigrants and refugees living in Kansas City are part of our community's rich cultural heritage. Join the Library as we share positive notes with our friends and neighbors during this open house letter-writing event! Stop by the Central Library anytime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Feb. 18 - we'll provide postcards at letter-writing areas in Helzberg Auditorium (5th Floor), along with a photo station where you can snap a selfie with your letter. Postcards and letters will be collected and delivered to local immigrant families through Jewish Vocational Service.
There will also be activities for children and families in our Children's Library (2nd Floor); we'll have coloring sheets available, and two special themed story times at 10 a.m. and noon.
Share your experience and post to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram using the hashtag #toimmigrantswithlove.
