December 10, 2017, 2:00 pm

All faiths are welcome and clergy are invited to wear vestments or stoles to the service and for the walk. The Episcopal Bishop of Iowa, Alan Scarfe, will preach. Imam Taha of the Mother Mosque of America will offer prayer as will Pastor Dondrea Walker of First Baptist Church in Grinnell. To lift up safety, free gun safety lock will be available courtesy of the Grinnell Police Department.

At the conclusion of the service is a three mile silent walk, a “funeral procession” to across from the Brownells retail facility, owned by the president of the NRA. Here we will pray and stand in witness for those killed or wounded in gun violence.

Rides for those for whom the walk is difficult will be provided as will rides back for all walkers.
