Inspired by the power of the people to come together for a common goal, from the early Civil Rights protests to the Women’s March on Washington, The March of Allied Power will bring together people of color and their allies to give visibility and voice to the issues of race and equality. This march will take place in Washington DC and can spark sister marches nationwide.
We believe in the power of activism to raise our voices.
In less than a week, Washington has closed the Flint investigation while the White House has greenlighted the Dakota Access and Keystone XL pipelines, promised to build a wall on the Mexican border, instituted a Muslim immigration ban, threatened Chicago with federal takeover and instituted multiple gag orders.
We MUST stand up, speak out and unite as one. Activism is born of conviction. Conviction is about the future. Conviction generates hope. Conviction leads us to positive change.
