In honor of the movement that began at the Women's March on Washington, the March for Public Education is a forum for teachers, counselors, professors, administrators, paraprofessionals, students, parents and citizen-advocates concerned with Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, as well as federal, state and local policies that defund and devalue public education. We are advocates who believe that every child, regardless of race, sex, socioeconomic status and ability, deserve the opportunity to experience the transformative power of a well-rounded education.
MISSION: To promote public education through peaceful demonstration and action.
VISION
Public Schools will be safe, inclusive spaces for learning and critical thinking, where all children discover their passion(s) and role(s) as citizens. As members of March for Public Education, we aim to advance policy and recursively address issues of: equity, inclusion, accountability, a well-funded institution and the right to organize.
