Our mission is to host a nonpartisan march in order to raise awareness concerning medical and environmental issues; to promote the science, technology, engineering, and math fields; to promote freedom of dissemination of knowledge and information, and raise awareness regarding the threats to that freedom; and to raise awareness concerning threats to funding of research and environmental protection.
We welcome scientists and science enthusiasts to join us at the local March for Science, which will be held on Earth Day, April 22, 2017. We will congregate at Sunset Center between 9 and 10 am. We will then march to Medi Park, stopping at the west side of the Don Harrington Discovery Center for speakers and music. At noon, we will march back to Sunset Center.
If you feel that the route will be too long for you, you may meet us at the Don Harrington Discovery Center at 11am.
Wildcat Bluff is also hosting an Earth Day event at 1pm. After the March for Science, head over the Bluff for more Earth Day fun!
