The march will begin at the Selena Memorial statue (600 N Shoreline Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX 78401) along the Bayfront and end at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History (1900 N Chaparral St, Corpus Christi, TX 78401). There are benches and a seawall along the route for those with accessibility issues (there are no steps to deal with along the route).
There is free parking available along Shoreline Blvd., the barge dock, T-heads, other street parking, and closer to the end of the march towards the Science Museum.
Please feel free to share your sign ideas with the group! There will be a small craft table at the beginning of the route to make signs (mostly for kids), so feel free to have a backyard sign-making party at your house!
There will be local scientists wearing name tags at the event if you have any questions about local environmental or other science concerns. There have been several local physicians, ecologists, and science teachers who have already pledged to attend to answer questions. We as scientists and science enthusiasts all want to provide accurate information to the public, so come prepared to ask anything! We will make sure you get your science questions answered!
To limit our environmental impact, this event is BYOWB (bring your own water bottle, preferably a reusable bottle). Remember to wear sunscreen and bring a hat or umbrella to limit your exposure to the South Texas sun!
