March For Science: Indianapolis

Indiana State House
200 W Washington St
Indianapolis, IN 46204
United States
April 22, 2017,
11:00 am to 1:00 pm

We are marching in support of publicly funded and publicly communicated Science as a pillar of Hoosier freedom and prosperity.

We think it is critical that policymakers support and incorporate scientific research into their decision making.

We are calling on policymakers to support Science that upholds the common good, and for political leaders and policymakers to enact evidence-based policies in the public interest.

This is a nonpartisan march to highlight the mischaracterization of science as a partisan issue, which has given policymakers permission to reject overwhelming evidence and enact policies against the public interest.

This march is being organized by concerned Hoosiers throughout the state. It is being organized by scientists, engineers, programmers, entrepreneurs, teachers, students, lawyers, doctors... anyone who is passionate about Science!

Announcements on additional organizers and committed members of the March for Science Indianapolis committees will be made this week. Given the political climate, several of the people who have been instrumental in planning the event are reluctant to announce their participation publicly and we are respecting their wishes as they make their final decisions.

Thank you to everyone that has reached out to us with questions, thank you to everyone for your patience, and most importantly thank you fellow Hoosiers for supporting Science!

Our goal is to have strong independent teams throughout the state working to rally support in their respective communities and we would love to have you join us! Please fill out the contact form on our website to get involved and receive communications!
