Hurrah for Science! Let's make sure that our lawmakers know that we value science, and that they should prioritize good science in their decisionmaking.
We will meet on Saturday, April 22nd, 1:00 p.m., at the corner of Capitol & Pulaski Streets in Little Rock and march to the Capitol steps. We'll have several great speakers there, each emphasizing how science matters--to environmentalists, farmers, hunters, scientists, chefs, students, teachers, everyone.
NOTE : This event is "rain or shine". In the event of hard, driving rain, we'll be inside the Capitol rotunda for our event. Bring your ponchos and umbrellas--umbrellas are a great place for your pro-science signs!
After the March: head on down to the Arkansas Musuem of Discovery for our "Science Advocacy Expo" from 3:00-5:00. We'll have more than a dozen community groups there that can help you get plugged into promoting good science in our area. The Museum of Discovery is offering free admission to March attendees and discounted parking coupons for exiting the River Market Parking Deck.
Bring your signs, bring your noisemakers, and bring your positive pro-science vibe. Hope to see you on the 22nd!
