This is a satellite event in Lubbock, TX affiliated with the national March for Science in Washington, DC, and sponsored by South Plains Advocates for Rights and Community. This will be a peaceful event for all who wish to express support for empirically based governance and public policy. It is a positive event for all ages. We will have guest speakers on stage who will talk about the importance of publicly funded and communicated scientific research for the public interest. There will also be booths set up at which various community organizations will communicate and give information about what they do.
