Scientists, students and concerned citizens will march in solidarity with the “March for Science” in Washington DC on April 22.
We will gather at 10:00am at Trinity Park in downtown Plattsburgh, march up Cornelia St., across Beekman St. past SUNY Plattsburgh to Broad St. and down to the Oval on the “Old Base”. We plan to arrive at the Oval by noon for the beginning of the Discover Service Earth Day Festival. CCC students and faculty will have a table on the Oval.
Our march will focus on our love of scientific inquiry, the value science creates for society, and its vital importance in saving the earth from the catastrophic effects of climate change.
All who value science are encouraged to join us. This is a non-partisan, family friendly event, kids and dogs welcome!
