March For Science: Santa Cruz

1126 Pacific Ave

April 22, 2017,
8:00 am to 8:00 pm

This page is for the Santa Cruz satellite of the March for Science. The current Administrion is threatening the Scientific resources of the United States. Myself and fellow scientists are fed up with the lack of respect for our hard work that is almost always done for the progression of the country and mankind. Slashing funding and restricting scientists from communicating their findings (from tax-funded research!) with the public is absurd and cannot be allowed to stand as policy. This is a non-partisan issue that reaches far beyond people in the STEM fields and should concern anyone who values empirical research and science. This is a peaceful demonstration for spreading awareness, voicing concerns and networking activists.

Being a scientist is not necessary to participate! All you need is an appreciation for science and a desire to communicate to our elected officials the importance of science to Americans. Updates will come as they are published by the offical organizers of the main march in Washington D.C.
