Join Rise and Resist to protest and alert the public about the dangers of Medicaid block grants, an idea that is being strongly pushed by Trump and Republican Congressional leaders.
This scheme would drastically change Medicaid - from an entitlement program (one that accepts everyone who qualifies) to one that would turn people away or limit benefits once a State runs out of the fixed amount of money it is given by the federal government each year. It could cut funding for Medicaid by over a third, leading to real suffering and even death.
This exciting, visual action is being planned for noon on March 21 at 26 Federal Plaza in Manhattan (at Broadway and Worth Street.)
