This exhibition will take place on March 3rd, the anniversary of the 1913 Women’s Suffrage Parade on Washington. We hope to honor the struggle of our fore-mothers, while also acknowledging their shortcomings. It is no secret that historically feminism has been plagued by a general white-washing of equality with only the causes of cisgendered, straight, able bodied, white women being worth fighting for. This has been a mistake in the struggle for equality. The Dallas Nasty Women Exhibition encourages explorations of women’s history and women’s rights through all of the intersectional lenses those who identify as women must push through.
