9:00 am to 5:30 pm

On Nov. 20, the Coalition of Immokalee Workers Women's Group will be in New York City to demand that Wendy's Board Chair Nelson Peltz bring the fast food holdout into the Fair Food Program once and for all! It's been a month since they sent Mr. Peltz a letter asking for him to take the time to meet with farmworker women, to understand the problem of sexual violence in the fields -- and the proven solution to prevent this unconscionable abuse in Wendy's supply chain.

The CIW Women's Group is asking allies nationwide to flood Mr. Peltz's phone lines with calls in support of their march to his offices at Trian Partners that day.

Use the script below or offer your personal comments to let Mr. Peltz know the CIW and allies are on their way, and remind him that until Wendy's joins the Fair Food Program, farmworkers and their growing base of consumer allies will #BoycottWendys!

After the call, fill out the form on the AFF website or email us at organize@allianceforfairfood.org to let us know how it went.

1) Call Trian Partners in New York, New York at (212) 451-3000.

2) Sample script:

“Hi, my name is _______ and I’m calling to leave a message for Mr. Nelson Peltz in support of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers. The CIW is a farmworker human rights organization that's calling on Wendy’s to end exploitation in their supply chain by joining the internationally-recognizedFair Food Program. I am currently participating in the national boycott of Wendy's because of its ongoing failure to join. I'm aware that farmworker women have requested to meet with Mr. Peltz and Wendy's CEO Mr. Todd Penegor to discuss the sexual violence faced by farmworkers in Mexico and Wendy's ongoing support of unchecked abuse; and that either has yet to respond to them. Farmworker women will be at Trian's New York offices this evening to personally ask Mr. Peltz and Wendy's leadership to support their human rights, once and for all. I urge you to bring Wendy's into the Program immediately.

Thank you for relaying this message.”
