Net Neutrality protest: Portage, MI Verizon store

6301 S Westnedge Ave
Portage, MI 49002
United States
December 7, 2017,
12:00 pm to 6:30 pm

On December 7th, 2017, activists and concerned citizens will be gathering in demonstrations across the nation to speak out against the government's latest attack on net neutrality, a common sense rule that ensures that ISPs like Comcast and AT&T do not have control over the content we all view on the internet, and provides a level playing field so certain web sites cannot be given preferential internet speeds (or have others artificially slowed down).

KALAMAZOO REVOLUTIONARY COALITION will be organizing a satellite demonstration at the Verizon store location in Portage, Michigan. Top Verizon lawyer turned FCC Chairman Ajit Pai’s plan to gut net neutrality will come one week after these protests at an expected vote at the FCC. Protesters will make it clear to members of Congress and the FCC that the time is now to stand for net neutrality, not Verizon’s bottom line.

This is also growing into an all day demonstration of community action. Activists on the west side of Kalamazoo will begin protests at the west main location at noon. For more information click on the link below:
