We asked students if they wanted to protest against Donald Trump in light of his pending state visit to the UK. The overwhelming response was yes they did.
At 6pm we will be holding a peacful protest on Square 3.
12pm come to Square 3 for banner making (free supplies!) and voice your opinions on our board being live streamed on facebook.
This coincides with a national demonstration which is the same day parliament will be debating whether or not to allow Trump a state visit. This is in coordination with One Day Without Us: UK National Protest, who are calling for a nationwide day of action to stand up and say no to the future of hatred, racism and division that Donald Trump is trying to create.
We are standing together, with the UK, to show that Essex believes in equality and inclusivity. We are an accepting and diverse University that celebrates our international community.
