NoDAPL Divestment Campaign / Educational Event

SURJ DC is working with Rising Hearts and 350 DC as part of a divestment coalition to push for divestment from financial institutions funding the construction of DAPL and other disastrous big oil projects that threaten indigenous lives and communities. 

SURJ DC invites you to join us to learn about and discuss divestment and indigenous sovereignty and how you can contribute to the movement. We'll be addressing questions including: 
1) What is the indigenous sovereignty movement and why does it matter? 
2) How is colonialism connected with white supremacy? 
3) Why is divestment an important tactic for indigenous sovereignty? 
4) How can I take personal action to contribute to divestment efforts?
