What?
Today, Donald Trump has just signed a new executive order, which has already been come to be known as “Muslim Ban 2.0”.
Although it contains some minor differences, the policy outcomes and lived realities of the decision are still the same for people from the Muslim-majority countries (Syria, Sudan, Iran, Somalia, Libya, and Yemen), who were thrown into a state of despair just a few weeks earlier. Families were separated, children were detained for hours, and people were caught in a state of crisis, some while in transit.
When the last executive order was put into effect on January 27th, thousands of you came out on the streets and at airport terminals. We need you again.
When/Where: Meet us at Customs & Border Patrol. There are several entrances, but meet us at 14th and D St NW on Tuesday, 03/7 at 8 a.m.
Please bring signs, your loud voices and anything that makes noise (drums, trashcans, whistles!).
See you there,
DC Justice for Muslims Coalition
