We are re-activating the "Pledge of Resistance" from a few years ago when the Keystone XL Pipeline looked imminent. Now, the Dakota Access Pipeline is being forced through and the Keystone Pipeline is back on the table, and the Atlantic Coast Pipeline is planned for NC. There are many other issues, such as immigration and Black Lives Matter, that may well require people being willing to resist and to risk arrest.

Nonviolent civil disobedience is a time-honored tradition which includes the peaceful resistance led by Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr., and also practiced at Standing Rock. It is not easy to maintain composure and dignity especially if attacked and/or provoked by law enforcement. This training is for people who are willing to risk arrest, and those available to be their allies by handling legal issues, jail support, phone calls, and logistics.
